Distributed request trace visualizer

The trace timeline shows the observed request path: client → reverse-proxy → service. Dots use observed start times.

How to explore: Hover a dot to inspect its span. Hovering highlights its trace; click a dot to keep that trace highlighted, and click empty space to clear it. Drag a rectangle to zoom into a time range and/or trace rows; double-click to reset. Scroll to zoom trace rows, or use Shift+scroll (or a horizontal trackpad gesture) to zoom time around the pointer. Each stage has its own colour: client blue, reverse-proxy amber, and service green. Latency controls dot opacity and shade: near 0 ms is faint; 100 ms and above is darker and opaque. Elapsed start-to-start times appear on trace lines when time is sufficiently zoomed in.

Trace timeline

One compressed row per trace, ordered by its first client span. Each row shows at most one span from each architectural stage, selected nearest to that trace’s first client span. Lines connect selected spans in start-time order; elapsed start-to-start times appear when horizontally zoomed in far enough.
